# Accessibility

> Edzo's commitment to making learning accessible for everyone.

Every learner deserves access to great learning experiences. Edzo is committed to building a platform that works for people of all abilities, and we're always working to do better.

## Our approach

Accessibility is part of how we design from the start:

* **Semantic HTML**: we use proper heading structures, landmarks, and labels so assistive technologies can navigate Edzo effectively
* **Keyboard navigation**: core features are accessible via keyboard
* **Screen reader support**: Edzo is designed to work with popular screen readers including VoiceOver, NVDA, and JAWS

***

## Visual accessibility

* **Color contrast**: text and interactive elements are designed with readability in mind
* **Resizable text**: Edzo respects browser zoom and text size preferences
* **Reduced motion**: Edzo respects the `prefers-reduced-motion` setting for users who are sensitive to animation

***

## For teachers and parents

When creating resources, a few small steps can make a big difference:

* Use **alt text** when adding images so learners using screen readers understand what's in the image
* Add **clear, descriptive titles** to your pages and sections to help all learners navigate your resources
* Consider using **multiple formats** (text + image + video) to support different learning needs

## Reporting accessibility issues

We want to hear from you. If you encounter an accessibility barrier:

* Email us at [support@edzo.com](mailto:support@edzo.com)
* Include the page or feature affected and the assistive technology you're using
* We'll respond promptly and work to resolve the issue

## Ongoing commitment

Accessibility is a journey. We regularly audit the platform, test with assistive technologies, and incorporate feedback from our community. Our goal is to make Edzo a place where every learner can thrive.
