The Journeys Editor lets you build structured learning pathways by connecting activities, quizzes, slides, tutorials, and videos into a step-by-step flow.

What is a Journey?

A Journey is a sequence of learning resources arranged in a specific order. Learners work through each step, building on what they’ve learned as they progress. Think of it as a curated learning path that guides learners through a topic or skill. Journeys are useful for:
  • Multi-day or multi-week units of work
  • Sequencing activities that build on each other
  • Creating structured learning paths that learners can follow independently
  • Combining different resource types (activities, quizzes, videos) into one cohesive experience

Creating a Journey

  1. Go to Your resources and select Journeys from the resource types sidebar
  2. Click Create journey
  3. The Journeys Editor opens with a visual canvas

The visual canvas

The Journeys Editor uses a visual canvas where you arrange and connect learning steps. You can:
  • Add steps to the canvas (each step is a resource, like an activity or quiz)
  • Connect steps to define the order learners follow
  • Rearrange steps by dragging them around the canvas
Use the controls in the bottom-left corner to zoom in, zoom out, or fit the entire journey to your screen.

Settings and publishing

  • Use the Settings menu to configure your Journey’s details
  • Use the File menu for save and management options
  • When you’re happy with your Journey, click Publish changes to make it available to learners
Learners assigned this resource won’t see your changes until you publish them. This lets you work on a Journey over time without affecting learners mid-flow.

Tips

  • Plan your Journey structure before building; sketch out the steps and how they connect
  • Keep Journeys focused on a single topic or learning goal
  • Use a mix of resource types to keep learners engaged (e.g. a video followed by an activity, then a quiz)
  • Star important Journeys for quick access from your resources page
