Your subscription controls what features and capacity you have access to in your learning space. This guide explains how to manage your subscription so you can focus on what matters most, supporting your learners.

Viewing your current plan

To see your current subscription details:
  1. Open your learning space
  2. Go to SettingsBilling
  3. Your current plan is displayed at the top of the page
You’ll see:
  • Your plan name (Free, Family, Classroom, or School)
  • Your billing period (monthly or yearly)
  • Your next payment date and estimated renewal amount
  • A breakdown of what’s included in your plan

Upgrading your plan

Upgrading gives you access to more learners, members, content, and storage. You can upgrade at any time.

Go to Billing settings

Navigate to SettingsBilling in your learning space.

Click Upgrade or Change plan

If you’re on the Free plan, click Upgrade. Otherwise, click Change plan.

Select your new plan

Choose from:
  • Family: Ideal for parents with up to 5 learners
  • Classroom: Designed for teachers with up to 35 learners
  • School: For schools with 100+ learners and multiple members

Choose your billing period

Select Monthly or Yearly billing. Yearly plans offer savings compared to paying monthly.

Complete checkout

You’ll be taken to a secure checkout page to enter your payment details. Once complete, your upgrade takes effect immediately.

Downgrading your plan

If you need fewer features or capacity, you can downgrade to a lower plan.

Go to Billing settings

Navigate to SettingsBilling in your learning space.

Click Change plan

Select the plan you’d like to downgrade to.

Confirm the change

Review the changes and confirm. Your downgrade will be scheduled to take effect at the end of your current billing period.
What happens when you downgrade:
  • Your current plan continues until the end of your billing period
  • The new plan takes effect when your current period ends
  • You won’t be charged again until your new plan renews
  • A pending plan change banner will appear on your Billing page

Changing your billing period

You can switch between monthly and yearly billing at any time.
  1. Go to SettingsBilling
  2. Click Change plan
  3. Select your current plan but choose a different billing period
  4. Confirm the change
Switching to yearly billing saves money over paying monthly and takes effect immediately. Switching to monthly billing takes effect at the end of your current yearly period.

Understanding your usage

Your Billing page shows a Usage Summary with four categories:
CategoryWhat it means
Plus LearnersLearners with full access to activities and progress tracking
Plus MembersAdults (teachers, parents) who can create and manage content
ContentThe number of learning activities in your space
StorageSpace used by uploaded images, videos, and files
For each category, you’ll see:
  • Used: How much you’re currently using
  • Available: How much capacity you have left
  • ∞ (infinity): Unlimited on your plan

What happens when you reach a limit?

If you reach a limit on a paid plan, you may be able to add more capacity for an additional charge (called an overage). The cost per additional learner or member is shown on your Billing page. On the Free plan, you’ll need to upgrade to add more learners, members, or content.

Canceling your subscription

If you need to cancel your paid subscription:

Go to Billing settings

Navigate to SettingsBilling in your learning space.

Click Change plan

Open the plan selection modal.

Select the Free plan

Choose the Free plan to cancel your paid subscription.

Provide feedback (optional)

Let us know why you’re canceling, your feedback helps us improve Edzo.

Confirm cancellation

Click Confirm cancellation to complete the process.
What happens when you cancel:
  • Your paid plan continues until the end of your current billing period
  • You won’t be charged again
  • Your learning space will move to the Free plan when your period ends
  • A Canceled badge will appear on your subscription card
  • Your content and learners remain in your space, but you may need to reduce usage to fit Free plan limits

Resuming a canceled subscription

Changed your mind? You can resume your subscription at any time before it ends.
  1. Go to SettingsBilling
  2. Click Resume on your subscription card
  3. Your subscription will continue as normal, and you’ll be charged at the next renewal date

Who can manage billing?

Only members with billing permissions can view and manage subscription settings. Typically, this is the learning space owner or administrator. If you don’t see the Billing option in Settings, ask your learning space owner to grant you billing permissions or make changes on your behalf.

Frequently asked questions

Upgrades take effect immediately. Downgrades and cancellations take effect at the end of your current billing period, so you keep your current plan until then.
Your content remains in your learning space. However, if your usage exceeds the limits of your new plan, some features may be restricted until you reduce usage or upgrade again.
Canceling stops future charges but doesn’t trigger a refund for your current period. See our Refunds policy for details.
