Skip to main contentEdzo is designed for use by children, families, and schools. That means privacy and safety are built into how the platform works from the ground up.
Our approach to privacy
- Learner accounts are managed by adults. Children don’t sign up on their own. Teachers or parents create and manage learner accounts within their learning space.
- No advertising. Edzo does not display ads or share personal data with third parties for advertising purposes.
- No public profiles for learners. Learner activity is only visible to the adults (teachers, parents, administrators) in their learning space.
- Minimal data collection. We collect only what’s needed to provide the service: account information, learning activity data, and usage information to improve the platform.
What data does Edzo collect?
- Name, email address, and password (for adult accounts)
- Display name and profile information you choose to provide
Learner data
- Name or display name (set by the managing adult)
- Learning activity responses, progress, and assignment completion
- This data is only accessible to adults within the learner’s learning space
Usage data
- Browser type, device information, and general location (country level)
- Pages visited and features used
- This helps us improve the platform and fix issues
How we protect your data
- All data is transmitted using encryption (HTTPS/TLS)
- Authentication is handled through a secure third-party provider (WorkOS)
- We regularly review our security practices
- Access to production systems is restricted and monitored
Children’s privacy
Edzo is designed with children’s safety as a core priority:
- Learner accounts are always managed by a responsible adult
- Learners cannot communicate with users outside their learning space
- We do not collect more data from learners than is necessary for the learning experience
- AI features are designed with age-appropriate guardrails
Data retention and deletion
- You can delete your account and associated data from your account settings
- When a learner is removed from a learning space, their data within that space is removed
- If you need help with data deletion, contact us
Schools and compliance
If you’re a school or education organization, we understand you may have specific data handling requirements. Edzo is designed to support responsible use in educational settings.
