Edzo uses Stripe for secure payment processing. This guide covers everything you need to know about managing payments, viewing invoices, and keeping your billing information up to date.

Payment methods

Accepted payment methods

Edzo accepts the following payment methods:
  • Credit cards: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and other major cards
  • Debit cards: Most debit cards with Visa or Mastercard branding
  • Digital wallets: Apple Pay, Google Pay (where available)

Adding a payment method

When you upgrade to a paid plan, you’ll be prompted to enter your payment details during checkout. Your card is securely stored for future renewals. To add or update a payment method after subscribing:
  1. Go to SettingsBilling in your learning space
  2. Click Manage payment methods
  3. You’ll be taken to the secure billing portal
  4. Add your new payment method
  5. Set it as the default if you want it used for future charges

Updating your payment method

If your card expires or you need to use a different card:
  1. Go to SettingsBilling
  2. Click Manage payment methods
  3. Add your new card
  4. Remove the old card (optional)
  5. Set the new card as your default payment method

Removing a payment method

To remove a saved payment method:
  1. Go to SettingsBilling
  2. Click Manage payment methods
  3. Select the card you want to remove
  4. Click Remove

Viewing your payment details

Your current payment method is displayed on the Billing page:
  1. Go to SettingsBilling
  2. Under Payment Details, you’ll see:
    • The card type (Visa, Mastercard, etc.)
    • The last 4 digits of your card
    • The expiration date
If no payment method is on file, you’ll see a prompt to add one.

Invoices

Viewing recent invoices

Your recent invoices are displayed at the bottom of the Billing page. For each invoice, you can see:
  • Amount: The total charged
  • Date: When the charge occurred
  • Status: Whether the invoice is paid, open, or has another status
  • Invoice number: A unique reference for your records

Invoice statuses

Downloading invoices

To download a PDF copy of any invoice:
  1. Go to SettingsBilling
  2. Find the invoice in the Recent Invoices section
  3. Click Download next to the invoice
PDF invoices include all the details you need for:
  • Personal record-keeping
  • Expense reimbursement
  • Tax purposes
  • School or organization accounting

Viewing all invoices

To see your complete invoice history:
  1. Go to SettingsBilling
  2. Click View all invoices
  3. You’ll be taken to the billing portal with your full invoice history

Understanding your charges

What you’re charged for

Your invoice may include:
  • Base plan fee: The cost of your selected plan (Family, Classroom, or School)
  • Additional learners: If you exceed your plan’s included learners
  • Additional members: If you exceed your plan’s included members

Prorated charges

When you upgrade mid-billing period, you’ll be charged a prorated amount: only paying for the remaining time in your current period at the new plan rate. For example, if you upgrade halfway through your billing period, you’ll pay approximately half the price difference between your old and new plans.

Billing portal

The billing portal is a secure area where you can manage all aspects of your billing. Access it by clicking Manage payment methods or View all invoices on your Billing page. In the billing portal, you can:
  • View and download all invoices
  • Add, update, or remove payment methods
  • Update your billing email address
  • View your subscription details

Payment security

How we protect your payments

  • Stripe processing: All payments are processed by Stripe, a PCI-compliant payment processor
  • No card storage: Your full card details are never stored on Edzo’s servers
  • Encrypted transactions: All payment data is encrypted in transit and at rest
  • Secure authentication: 3D Secure authentication is used where required

Safe checkout

When you see the Stripe checkout page, you can be confident your payment is secure. Look for:
  • The padlock icon in your browser’s address bar
  • The Stripe branding on the checkout form
  • Your card details going directly to Stripe, not Edzo

When payments are taken

Subscription renewals

Your subscription automatically renews at the end of each billing period:
  • Monthly plans renew every month on the same date you subscribed
  • Yearly plans renew once per year on your subscription anniversary
You’ll receive an email reminder before each renewal.

Immediate charges

You’ll be charged immediately when you:
  • Subscribe to a paid plan for the first time
  • Upgrade to a higher plan
  • Add capacity that results in overage charges

End-of-period charges

Overage charges for additional learners or members are calculated and charged at the end of each billing period based on your usage.

Failed payments

What happens if a payment fails

If your payment fails (expired card, insufficient funds, etc.):
  1. You’ll receive an email notification
  2. Stripe will retry the payment a few times over several days
  3. If payment continues to fail, your subscription may be paused or canceled

Resolving failed payments

To fix a failed payment:
  1. Go to SettingsBilling
  2. Click Manage payment methods
  3. Update your payment method with valid details
  4. The system will automatically retry the charge
