We’re a small team, and that’s intentional. Being small means we can move quickly, communicate clearly, and stay close to the people who use our product.

Communication

We default to asynchronous communication. Not everything needs a meeting or an instant reply. Written communication is clearer, more thoughtful, and creates a record that others can reference. When something does need a real-time conversation, we have one. But the default is to write it down.

Autonomy and ownership

Everyone owns their work. We trust each other to make good decisions, manage their time, and ask for help when they need it. Ownership means seeing something through from start to finish.

Transparency

We share context openly. Everyone should understand why decisions are made, what the priorities are, and how their work connects to the bigger picture.

Focus

We work on fewer things and do them well. We’d rather ship one great thing than three half-finished ones.

Everyone does support

Over the years, Scott and Jill personally answered over 10,000 support tickets. That closeness to customers shaped every product decision. At Edzo, we want everyone on the team to spend time with customers. It’s the fastest way to build empathy and make better decisions.

Sustainability

We don’t celebrate overwork. Consistent, focused effort over a long period beats unsustainable sprints. We’re building for the long term, and that requires a pace we can maintain.
