In Edzo, a learner represents a child or student. Learners are the centre of everything Edzo does. They complete learning activities, receive assignments, and build progress over time. supported by the adults around them. Learners do not manage their own accounts. Instead, they are supported by members (teachers, parents, or administrators) within one or more learning spaces.
A single learner can belong to multiple learning spaces at the same time.

Learners and learning spaces

Learners always exist within learning spaces. For example:
  • A learner may belong to a family space at home
  • The same learner may also belong to a classroom space at school
  • In some cases, a learner may belong to a school space as well
Each learning space is private and separate. Learners see only the people, activities, and assignments that belong to the space they are currently in.

The learner dashboard

When learners log in, they see their personalized dashboard that includes:
  • Personal greeting with their profile picture
  • Learning streak showing consecutive days of activity
  • Points and gems earned through completing activities
  • Current assignments from their teachers or parents
  • Continue learning section with their in-progress activities
  • Recommended activities based on their learning progress
The dashboard is designed to be engaging and child-friendly, encouraging learners to continue their learning journey.

What learners can do

  • See personalized activity recommendations
Learners focus on learning. They don’t need to worry about settings, permissions, or administration.

How learners are supported

Learners are supported by adults in different roles. Depending on the space, adults can:
  • Assign learning activities
