Skip to main contentIn Edzo, a learning space is the home for everything you do on the platform.
You can think of a learning space as your classroom, family, or school: depending on how you use Edzo.
It is a private environment where a group of people come together to organize learners, work with learning activities, and support progress over time.
What lives inside a learning space
A learning space brings together four core elements:
- People: members (adults) and learners (children or students)
- Learning activities: ready-made, adapted, or created from scratch
- Assignments: learning assigned to individuals or groups
- Progress: activity completion, attempts, and engagement
A learning space helps you:
- Organize members and learners
- Explore, adapt, and create learning activities
- Assign learning and track progress
- Collaborate safely within your group
Everything created in a learning space stays private to that space.
Members and learners
Both members and learners can belong to more than one learning space.
For example:
- A teacher may belong to a classroom space and a school space
- A learner might be part of a family space and a classroom space
- A school administrator may oversee multiple school or class spaces
This keeps learning organized and avoids confusion between different contexts.
Learner progress across spaces
Assignments and learning activities are always scoped to a specific learning space.
However, a learner’s overall progress can be viewed across all the spaces they belong to.
This allows:
- Parents to see learning at home and at school
- Teachers to understand broader learning context
- Schools to support learners more holistically
Billing and plans
Each learning space has its own plan, subscription, and seats for members and learners.
This means:
- A family space and a classroom space are billed separately
- Changes to a plan affect only that specific space
- Seat usage and overages are tracked per space
This keeps billing predictable and appropriate for each learning context.
