Badges are visual awards that recognize milestones as learners and members use Edzo. They’re earned automatically based on real activity, and they appear on profiles and the learner awards page.
How badges work
Badges are awarded when a learner or member reaches a specific milestone. Each badge type has multiple tiers, so there’s always a next milestone to work toward.
When a badge is unlocked:
- A celebration animation appears with the new badge
- The badge is added to the awards page (for learners) or the profile badges tab (for members)
- Multiple badges earned at once stack together so you can swipe through them
Badges are awarded based on cumulative activity. They can’t be purchased, traded, or taken away.
Learner badges
Learners earn badges through their learning activity. There are five types:
XP earned
Awarded as learners accumulate XP from completing activities.
Gems earned
Awarded as learners collect gems.
Correct answers
Tracks the total number of questions answered correctly.
Correct answer streak
Recognizes consecutive correct answers in a row.
Daily learning streak
Tracks consecutive days of learning activity.
Learners can view all their earned badges on the Awards page, accessible from their dashboard navigation.
Member badges
Members (teachers, parents, and administrators) earn badges based on their contributions to the Edzo community. There are six types:
Resources published
Tracks the total number of public resources you’ve published.
Resources reviewed
Counts published reviews you’ve written on other members’ resources.
Resource stars
Tracks how many times your resources have been starred by others.
Resource remixes
Counts how many times your resources have been remixed by other members.
Questions answered
Tracks the total number of question responses submitted by learners on your resources.
Learners reached
Counts the unique learners who have submitted at least one response on your resources.
Member badges are visible on your public profile under the Badges tab. Other members can view your badges when they visit your profile.
Viewing badges
Learners can find their badges at any time by going to the Awards page from the learner navigation.
Members can see their own badges on their profile, and view other members’ badges by visiting their profile and selecting the Badges tab.
Badges are grouped by type and ordered by the most recently earned.
